Climbing to number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart and receiving a Platinum certification four months after it hit the stores. Due in large part to the single Dirty White Boy this album produced a number of hits. So don't let this be a foreign album any longer.

1999 was released in 1982. Princes fifth release but the first with The Revolution. 1999 was his breakout album scoring some commercial success with Little Red Corvette reaching #6 on the top 100. The title track 1999 reached #41 covering political anti-nuclear sentiments about proliferation at the time. This album preceeded Purple Rain. Give this a good listen as you will certainly hear what was to come from the talented and sexy Minnesotan.

Covering the greats is as much fun as a tribute to the likes of Elmore James, Bo Diddly, Hank Williams, Willie Dixon and the legendary Chuck Berry. Have fun with this I say, I say.
